April 2012 ....

The Friends of Eastfield Park would like to thank everybody who contributed to the success of their ‘Easter @ Eastfield’ event in the park on Easter Sunday afternoon.

Despite fairly poor weather, a steady stream of children joined in the trails and games arranged for them by the Friends of Eastfield Park and the Groundwork Northamptonshire Spots vs Stripes team. A number of children also enjoyed having their faces painted as part of the fun.

Members of Broadmead Baptist Church supervised children’s craft work with an Easter theme and also helped with the Easter trails. The Broadmead team also served free orange juice to children.

A tombola stall proved very popular with adults attending the event.

As well as providing fun for local children the event succeeded in raising just over £95 for friends of Cynthia Spencer Hospice (Registered Charity Number: 1002926).
